Mental Health First Aid Course

Think Active would like to put on a Mental Health First Aid Course (Online) for those clubs and groups across Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire who are interested in making sure their club/group is positively contributing to good mental health and well-being.

These courses are restricted to 16 places, therefore we are scoping out which clubs and groups are interested and then inviting 16 of you to attend the Mental Health First Aid Course we are hosting in April.

Dates:

  • Monday 19th April
  • Tuesday 20th April
  • Monday 26th April
  • Tuesday 27th April
    *Individuals must attend all four sessions

Time2:00 – 4:30pm

Venue: Online

What is covered:

This online course qualifies you as a Mental Health First Aider, giving you:

  • An in-depth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing
  • Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues
  • Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress
  • Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening
  • Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to further support – whether that’s self-help resources, through their employer, the NHS, or a mix

Who it’s for:
Clubs & groups who have a role in providing and delivering sport and physical activity. Anyone with an interest in making sure that sports clubs and groups are a positive contributor to good mental health and well-being.
