Extensive people and budget management skills -Sharon has managed 4,000 staff in diverse roles and up to £750 million annual gross budgets.

Denise recently stood down after 11 years as a Non-executive Director for NHS Primary Care.
She is an experienced Board operator in both executive and non-executive capacities with over 15 years Board level business experience in both public and private sectors with 11 years as a non-executive. Board executive experience. This includes the Civil Service and with a Regulated FTSE100 Utility and her non-executive portfolio includes 11 years within NHS, 8 years with local transport and 3 years with a regulated housing association. Held C-level positions in large, complex organisations, directly managing budgets of up to £150m and staffing levels approaching 1000.
Denise brings experience in developing transformational strategy, organisational change and service development.
Denise became interested in sport and general activity in adult life, taking up foil fencing in my early 30’s and progressing to epee fencing. She has a direct understanding of the importance of being active and the impact it can have on physical and mental health and she is committed to encouraging more people to become and remain active from an early age and through into later life.
An accredited Motor Sport Association Post Chief, Observer and Judge for more than 20 years, Denise is a regular fixture on the pit wall at local motor racing circuits.
Other interests include travel, especially to places with interesting history and architecture.

Previously Enterprise Director at KPMG – advising entrepreneurs and management teams on growing their businesses in a structured and sustainable manner while helping them think about the future to enable successful succession and / or a transaction for the business.
Having spent 20 years in various industries from fitness & healthcare through to banking and finance and in roles including consultancy and senior leadership positions I bring a breadth of business and commercial acumen to the Think Active Team. Away from the day job I have been involved on a variety of charity boards as a trustee and audit chair which enables me to bring a third sector perspective with a particular focus on robust governance.
I am extremely passionate about sport and physical activity. I coach one of my boys football teams, enjoy doing triathlons and have even tried my hand at some Ultra running events. Exercise helps provide me with a release to keep my sanity and I am a real believer that everyone – no matter their background – can benefit from being active on a regular basis.
Helen is Deputy Director of Public Health for Warwickshire where she is leading transformation and redesign programmes for health improvement and health protection. A dedicated public health professional offering 25 years in all aspects of local, national and international public health advocacy, Helen has led on the English national heart health programmes – Look After Your Heart and Look After Yourself – and contributed to public health capacity building programmes across Europe for the World Bank, WHO and DFID. Current areas of interest include children’s public health, maternal perinatal mental health and public health frameworks for community safety.

Partnerships Director at Sports Leaders UK, the leading awarding organisation for Leadership Skills Qualifications in the UK, heading up the team that works closely with over 2,000 national and local partners to establish skill development opportunities for young people, adding credibility and sustainability to partners and their programmes. I have extensive experience having previously worked in the sports development and financial sectors. I also have a Law degree as well as a masters in Sports Law and regulation. In addition to being a keen sportsman myself, I also enjoy films and socialising.

Over 30 years experience across retail, merchanting, business to business and consultancy sectors. My passion is for developing commercial and marketing strategies, identifying new sources of growth, both organic and through acquisition. My general management skill set encompasses P&L responsibility; strategic consultancy; international retail expansion; category development; multi channel retail buying and marketing. I get greatest satisfaction out of building teams with vision and motivation to make a difference.
Specific recent expertise in energy efficiency and sustainability sector and related funding structures.
When I am not helping organisations grow, I create and exhibit wire sculptures reflecting my interest in Dance, the human form and movement.
I am a member of Balsall Common Runners, an affiliated running club, I am a keen runner, having completed two marathons, I am still searching for the elusive sub 3 hour mark! . I also play tennis, walk our red fox Labrador and help out in my wife’s gardening business. I also have four grown up sons.
I live an active life, which gives me health , well being and interest, this is something I would like to support others to do, however challenging their circumstances or modest their achievements.
