CSW County School Games announcement

Having carefully monitored the ongoing situation regarding the coronavirus and being in regular contact as a School Games organising network across Coventry, Solihull & Warwickshire, we have reluctantly taken the decision to cancel all county level School Games events with immediate effect until Easter 2020.
It has been a very difficult decision, however, having considered national guidelines, decisions that have already been taken locally by our Local Authority partners, the unprecedented nature of the situation and the growing level of uncertainty, we believe the decision best maintains the health and safety of everyone involved in a putting on a School Games event and we would not want to contribute to any risk. We also recognise that many of you may well be dealing with your own challenges in the face of this unprecedented situation.

We apologise for the lateness of this announcement in relation to imminent events and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. However, we hope you can appreciate that this is an ever-changing situation and the decision has been taken with best interests in mind.
A lot of preparation has gone into the events that have been cancelled and we would like to thank the schools, volunteers, School Games Organisers, venues etc. for their efforts to date. We would also like to thank and congratulate the participants that have practiced, participated and qualified for the county events so far.
Thank you for your understanding and please look out for updates and announcements in the coming weeks about future county events and your local School Games Organiser for events in your area.
Best Wishes,
Vicky Joel
